How to use CIK service?

We are using internet to transmit telephone signal to your home. To use our service, you need to have high speed internet, any kind of DSL or Cable modem would work. As we are using internet to transmit signal so higher bandwidth would be better but if using .lite we have to put our box to right after modem to get better voice quality as our box has special design to make voice has higher priority. So you must have high speed internet before using our service.

What kind of internet connection do I need for V-Phone?

It is recommended of using 1M high speed internet to get the best quality, however, you can use .lite or extra lite with over 128k Bandwidth, but would require our boxes to be the first device after modem and quality may not be as good as 3M bandwidth.

Does browsing internet affect voice quality or not or talking affect download speed?
|
The talking and browsing internet will not affect each other in normal case, only download movie, playing online game or watching online TV would have a little affect on the voice.

Can I make unlimited calling to/from local?
|

Is CIK Home Phone compatible with fax machines?
|
CIK Home Phone is designed to support most types of telephone devices. Because of the wide variety of fax machines, we cannot guarantee full compatibility with every type and there may be circumstances in which failed calls will be experienced. We have different potential solutions to meet your needs: Adjust your configuration for your fax, or if you use CIK service as major Fax service, we can give you different hardware to meet your need, additional charge may apply depends on the hardware you need.

Does CIK Home Phone work with home alarms?
|
Yes, CIK Home Phone works with most of alarm systems, but may need customer help to set up, if customer need on site service, additional charge may apply.

Can I view my bills online?
|
Yes, you can view your bills online with the option of also making your payments online. When you register as CIK customer, you will receive one email which include your home phone ID and password, by log in on www.ciktel.com, you can easily view your bills online.

Why my first bill looks bigger than one month?
|
(1) Your monthly bill will be send by email on the 5th of every month. For first-ordered customers, the 1st bill will include previous month monthly fee and long distance charge calculated by days from customer activated date plus current month monthly fee. If the monthly bill is not the first bill, it will include previous month long distance charge plus current month monthly charge.
(2) Long distance charge. For first-ordered customers, if customer have long distance plan with CIK, the long distance plan charge and long distance minutes will be calculated by days from customer activated date to the end of month.
(3) Paper bill processing fee. If customer view monthly bill by email or online, there will be no additional charge, if customer need paper bill, every month, there will be 2$ extra charge per month.
