General

30 Days Quality Guarantee

CIK provides 30 days quality warranty to all new customers to guarantee customer satisfaction. For DSL Service, customer can cancel the service within 30 days from the bell order complete date and no need to pay monthly fee. For Home Phone Service, customer can cancel the service within 30 days from the service activation date and no need to pay monthly fee. (One time charge as activation fee, configuration fee, shipping and handling fee etc and Long Distance charge generated during this period are non-refundable)

  • The 30 Days Service warranty applies only to CIK new customers for the 1st service in the same address.
  • For DSL Service: Starting from the DSL service activation date (Bell order complete date in bell system).
  • For Home Phone Service: Starting from the service activation date in CIK system.
  • If the service is cancelled within the warranty period, no monthly fee will be charged. Other one time charge as activation fee, configuration fee, shipping and handling fee etc and Long Distance charge generated during this period are non-refundable
  • Customer needs to ship the equipment back at own cost. The equipment purchase fee will be fully refunded only if the equipment is returned within 7 days from the service deactivation date, with original package to the address appointed by CIK Cancellation Department, including all parts and accessories, documentation and manuals and all other items originally shipped to the customer. If lost the original package or missing any parts or accessories, there will be 12$ restocking fee charge. We will refund customer’s equipment purchase fee within 4 to 6 weeks after received the hardware. Equipment returned to the agents will not be processed.
  • Existing CIK cancellation policies apply.
  • 30 days warranty policy doesn’t apply to low speed DSL service provided due to customer’s initiative request.

Free Hardware

During the promotion, CIK might give free-using hardware to customers so that customers can use our services.

Those promotion equipments (the “Equipments”) might not be exactly the same as the pictures shown in the advertisement and might have different models as well. CIK reserves the right of final explanation and decision of which type of equipments to give. The equipments might be either new or refurbished, and are tested and guaranteed to be working. But the equipments are not guaranteed to be new from original manufactures.

The equipment has one year warranty from CIK. CIK will replace the equipments for free if they are broken within 1 year, except for the damage is due to man-made reasons (such as fire, broken due to wrong power adaptor, physical damage, pour water etc.).

After 1 year, if equipments are broken, customers need to buy new equipments from CIK at our regular price and pay applicable tax and shipping fee. If customer cancels within 30 days from the service activation, the customer needs to return the equipment within 7 days after the service deactivation along with the original package. If the equipment comes back without the original package or missing any parts, 12$ restocking fee will apply. If cancelled over 30 days but within 1 year, $12 restocking fee will apply. For equipment is not returned to us within 7 days after service deactivation date, a regular price of the equipment charge will apply. All the equipments are still CIK's property during the 1 year warranty period.

All rights and responsibilities on the promotional box itself will be transferred to customer when the 1 year guarantee period ends. No equipments return will be required after the transfer.

One Time Fee Discount

CIK might give discount to or waive one time charges such as Processing Fee, Activation Fee, Shipping & Handling Fee and Hardware Purchasing Fee etc. at intervals for the purpose of promotion. For the part of the one time charges which was discounted away or waived, if customers cancel the service within 30 days, the discounted or waived portion will be charged back to the original level. If customers cancel the service after 30 days from the service activation, there would be no charge back for the one time fee discount.

Service Fee Discount

CIK might give new customers monthly service fee discount from time to time based on the term specified by the corresponding promotion. The common terms might be 1 month, 3 months, 6 month, 1 year, 2 years etc.. The monthly service fee discount will be stopped automatically at the mature of the pre-stated terms and monthly fee will be back to the original price. We will not renew any of the discounts on our own initiative nor choose any service plans other than the corresponding standard service plans for customers. It is the customer’s responsibility to contact us before the expiration date of the discount promotion and select a new service plan available at that time which can better serve customer’s needs. If customers cancel the service within 1 year, previously discounted service fee will be charged back to make the previous monthly service fee be back to the original price.

Long Distance Package Discount

CIK might give new customers free long distance package from time to time based on the term specified by the corresponding promotion. The common terms might be 1 month, 3 months, 6 month, 1 year, 2 years etc.. The long distance package discount will be stopped automatically at the mature of the pre-stated terms and the long distance package will be back to the original price. We will not renew any of the discounts on our own initiative nor choose any long distance packages other then the corresponding standard long distance packages for customers. It is the customer’s responsibility to contact us before the expiration date of the discount promotion and to select a new long distance package available at that time which can better serve customer’s needs or choose to remove the long distance package. If customers cancel the service within 1 year, previously discounted long distance package fees will be charged back to make the previous long distance package fee be back to the original price.

Prepayment Discount

CIK might give customers monthly service fee discount if customers prepaid for a certain period of time according to the promotion. If customers cancel the service before the mature of the promoted terms, the service fee of the used months will be charged back to the original price. The prepayment, after deducting all the applicable charges, will be refunded to customers.

Free Prize

CIK might give customers third party products such as TV, IPAD etc as free prizes of promotional lucky draws. There is no obligation for customers to keep using CIK services in order to maintain the ownership of the free prize as long as the conditions meet. CIK is not providing any warranty or support to those third party products. Customers need to get support from the manufacturers directly.

The Referral Program

To express thanks to CIK loyal customers who recommends to their friends, CIK might give eligible referrals certain gifts or service discounts as referral bonus according to different promotions. The following terms and conditions apply: The referral bonus only applies to CIK Active Customers who recommend New Active CIK Home Phone/Internet customers; referral bonus for each valid recommendation; The referral bonus will be effective 30 days later then your friends' CIK Home Phone/Internet service activation date; The referral bonus is not redeemable as cash; When the CIK account deactivated, all remaining referral fee will be cleaned out and will not be refunded in any format; Valid referee’s CIK promotion code must be provided at the time when order been submitted or within 1 day (24 hours) later by calling us or sending us email; Later promo code is not accepted, the offer is lapsed automatically after the time limit; Terms & condition explanation rights belong to CIK and might be changed without notice.

Limited Time Promotions

The Internet Promotions

  • The promotion will start from 00:01AM April 1st, 2011 to 23:59 (EST) on April 30th, 2011 for CIK new internet customers only.
  • The DSL internet standard download speed is up to 7M, but it could be lower due to distance, line condition and available DSLAM card type
  • The Cable Internet standard download speeds are different according to different plans. The actual speed might be lower than its corresponding standard speed due to distance, line condition and rush hours.
  • Unlimited downloading is subject to Canada CRTC rules and government laws. Any change will be given notice of 30 days in advance by email.
  • Either Credit card or Preauthorized Payment from Banking account or 1 year prepayment is required.
  • Promo price for Regular DSL is $24.99/Mon, prepay 1 year. Customer must have Bell regular PSTN phone. Otherwise 10$/Mon dry loop charge will apply. Promo is only available for the first year. All terms are charged upfront.
  • Promo price for 3M cable is $24.99/Mon, 10M Cable is $34.99/Mon, 15M Cable is $44.99/Mon; prepay 1 year. The promo price is only available for the first year. All terms are charged upfront.
  • If customer cancels the promo service plan within 1 year, previously discounted service fee will be charged back.
  • The promo only applies to New CIK Internet Customers. Existing internet Customers who cancel Internet Service within the promo period can not use the same service address to apply for this promo till 6 months later then the Service Deactivation Date.
  • Service must be activated within 60 days from the order submit date. The offer is lapsed automatically after the time limit.
  • Terms & condition explanation rights belong to CIK and might be changed without notice.
  • Special Cable Internet Promotion in British Columbia (BC): New activated Cable customer will get CIK Basic Home Phone Plan for free, as long as the customer remains using the CIK service. If existing Home Phone Customer activates new Cable service, the basic home phone part of the customer’s current home phone plan will become free.

The Home Phone Promotions

Each New Home Phone Customer if PREPAY 1 YEAR PHONE SERVICE FEE will get a FREE PHONE ATA box for all new customers joining between 4/1/2011 and 4/30/2011:

  • New customer refers to customer who orders and activates CIK Home Phone Prepay 1 Year service plan within the promotion period. Existing CIK Home Phone customer is not qualified to this promotion.
  • For new porting customers, need to provide all porting information (LOA + Phone Bill) within the promo period. The offer is lapsed automatically if complete porting information is not received during the promotion period.
  • Existing customer who cancels current phone service and re-orders promo plan during this promo period, is not qualified to this promotion.
  • All IP Phone Box sent out for free during this promo period have 1 year limited warranty.

The Referral Program Promotions

The new Referral Program “Get $10 ANI Calling Card as Referral Gift” effective from 4/1/2011 to 4/30/2011:

  • The referral gift only applies to CIK Active Customers who recommend New Active CIK Home Phone/Internet customers.
  • $10 ANI Calling Card for each valid recommendation.
  • The $10 ANI Calling Card PIN will be emailed to the email address you provided to us 30 days later than your friends' CIK Home Phone/Internet service activation date.
  • The referral gift is not redeemable for cash or other type of discount. When related CIK account is deactivated, all remaining referral fee will be cleaned out and will not be refunded in any format.
  • Valid referee’s CIK promotion code must be provided at the time when order been submitted or within 1 day (24 hours) later by calling us or sending us email. Otherwise, the referral gift will not be granted. The offer will expire automatically beyond the promotion period.

Should the above Limited Time Promotions be in any conflict with the CIK General Terms and Agreements, the CIK General Terms and Agreements shall prevail.
